TEHRAN – Cuba received 10 Iranian-made wagons to transport cement.

Based on an over €9.9-million contract, Pars Wagon Co. in Arak, central Iran, is committed to build 100 freight train wagons for the Latin American nation within a year.

The wagons’ significant advantage over similar Russian models is their improved unloading capacity as the carriages’ residue cement after unloading is less than 100 kilograms. The wagons are capable of carrying 22.5 tons of the product.

In addition to the contract, Iran has also helped develop major projects in Cuba, including the building of sewage pumping station and water treatment facilities.
